Hello, I'm Savannah.

Savannah Citron

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - Associate

Supervised by Jenny Deitz, M.A., LMFT-Supervisor

It takes courage to ask for help, and to keep asking.

When we doubt that this is true for ourselves (“I shouldn’t need it,” “I don’t deserve it”), accompanying patterns of thinking, feeling, and acting can reinforce these false messages about our needs and keep us trapped in a story of loneliness and pain.

I pursued a career as a Marriage and Family Therapist because I believe in the value of coming alongside others as they bear the burdens of life, offering the best of myself to comfort and to guide. To me, being a therapist is more than just a job – it’s an inherent responsibility, a great privilege, and an unmatched honor.

As a therapist and an admirer of the brave, I aim to help make your courage count. I work with teens, adults, families, and couples to debunk the myth that asking for help is a weakness and to offer gentle, steadfast support in and through seasons of disorder and uncertainty. My approach often focuses on exploring, processing, and honoring experiences, emotions, and relational needs to help make some sense of where you want to be and where you get stuck. By being open to giving yourself grace, speaking the unspeakable, and trying new things, you can rewrite your story.

So be brave, and see where it takes you.

Sometimes finding the right counselor is simply a matter of finding someone who has training and experience in the particular area you are looking for but sometimes finding the right fit in a counselor can be more challenging.
